About This Show
The China International Import Expo (CIIE) is China's government-hosted, import-focused expo, held every November in Shanghai since 2018. Overseas companies present imported goods, technology and services to Chinese buyers, many of whom attend in organized trade delegations. The 9th edition runs November 5-10, 2026 at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) in the Hongqiao business district.
CIIE is hosted by China's Ministry of Commerce and the Shanghai Municipal People's Government, and organized by the China International Import Expo Bureau. Alongside the commercial floor it includes a Country Exhibition of national pavilions and the Hongqiao International Economic Forum, whose main forum doubles as the opening ceremony.

The Enterprise & Business Exhibition covers over 360,000 square meters in six areas, plus an Innovation Incubation Special Section for start-ups:

Visiting
There is no on-site registration; every badge is issued in advance to a named person after review. Individual visitors (age 14+) can attend on November 8, 9 or 10 only, for a badge fee of 50 yuan per person per day. In 2026 they must register by October 20 and pay by October 23 (Beijing time). Badges are couriered to an address in mainland China. Professional visitors register through the organizer's website, usually as part of a trade delegation.
