Databricks Data + AI Summit (DAIS) is one of the largest data and AI events of the year, held at Moscone Center in San Francisco. It gathers data engineers, scientists, analysts and executives for keynotes, hands-on training and a major partner expo covering the lakehouse architecture, data engineering, analytics and generative AI.
2026 Recap
The Databricks Data + AI Summit 2026 ran 15-18 June at San Francisco's Moscone Center, drawing more than 30,000 in-person attendees from 150+ countries across 800+ sessions. CEO Ali Ghodsi's keynote argued that AI "does not have an intelligence problem, it has a context problem," organising the roadmap around Context, Cost, Control and Choice. Headline launches included Genie One (an agentic interface that went generally available) and Genie Ontology; Agent Bricks gained support for external agent SDKs including Claude Code, LangGraph, CrewAI and OpenAI; and Lakebase reached general availability. Unity Catalog added Metrics and an AI Gateway, and Genie came to Microsoft Teams and M365 Copilot in beta. Guest speakers included Microsoft's Satya Nadella and OpenAI's Greg Brockman.
