drupa runs every four years in Dusseldorf and is the printing industry's largest trade fair, drawing exhibitors and buyers from across commercial print, packaging, labels, and industrial/3D printing. The most recent edition, drupa 2024, ran 11 days (May 28 - June 7) across 18 exhibition halls, hosting 1,643 exhibitors from 52 nations for 170,000 trade visitors - 80% of them international, from a record 174 countries.
More than half of visitors came from the printing industry itself, with packaging's share of attendance rising noticeably. Automation, AI-driven workflow software, and robotics dominated the show floor as manufacturers demonstrated a path toward fully automated print factories. Major equipment makers - including Bobst, Canon, Fujifilm, Heidelberger Druckmaschinen, HP, Horizon, Koenig & Bauer, Komori, Konica Minolta, Kurz, and Landa - reported signing large purchase agreements on-site, and 96% of visitors said the show met what they came for.
