About This Show
MEDICA is one of the world's largest B2B trade fairs for medical technology and healthcare, held every November at Messe Dusseldorf in Germany. The 2026 edition runs Monday November 16 to Thursday November 19, at the same time as COMPAMED, the trade fair for medical technology suppliers and components in Halls 8a and 8b. One ticket covers both fairs.
MEDICA began in 1969 as "Diagnostics Week" and now covers laboratory diagnostics, imaging, medical devices, consumables, rehabilitation and physiotherapy equipment, homecare and digital health. For 2026 the organizer, Messe Dusseldorf, has reorganized the halls around eight themes and created a Healthcare Transformation Campus in Hall 12, with the new MEDICA MAIN STAGE, a walk-through Hospital of the Future and the Wearable Technologies Conference Europe. Hall 17 becomes a Digital Health Hub with the MEDICA START-UP PARK.
According to the organizer's 2025 post-show report, MEDICA and COMPAMED together drew 78,000 visitors from 160 countries and 5,584 exhibitors from 70 countries: 4,821 at MEDICA and 763 at COMPAMED. Visitor hours are 10:00 to 18:00 Monday to Wednesday and 10:00 to 16:00 on Thursday. Online tickets start at €50 for one day.
