SPS - Smart Production Solutions is the trade fair for smart and digital automation, organized by Mesago Messe Frankfurt and held every November at the Nuremberg exhibition center (NürnbergMesse) in Germany. The 2026 edition runs November 24-26. The show was formerly known as SPS IPC Drives.
It covers industrial automation from components to complete systems: drive technology, control systems, sensors, industrial communication, software and IT in manufacturing, and the integration of automation into connected production.
The 2025 edition drew around 56,000 trade visitors and 1,175 exhibiting companies across 15 halls, according to the organizer's final report, which described a significant increase in visitors on the previous year. For 2026 the organizer expects more than 1,000 exhibitors.
SPS is usually the last major European industrial fair of the calendar year, running in the final full week of November.
