Agritechnica is organised by DLG (the German Agricultural Society) and has run in Hannover since 1985, held every two years and drawing the largest gathering in agricultural machinery. The most recent edition, Agritechnica 2025, ran under the theme "Touch Smart Efficiency" and brought in 2,849 exhibitors from 52 countries and 476,000 visitors from 171 countries, filling 23 of the Hannover Fairground's halls (392,500 sqm indoor, plus 58,000 sqm of open-air space).
That edition introduced a "7 Days - 7 Themes" format, dedicating each day to a different audience - press, agribusiness, digital farming, young professionals, and a public-facing "Celebrate Farming" day - rather than running as one undifferentiated week. A standout debut was the Digital Farm Center, presented by FarmRobotix in Hall 21, focused on automation and robotics in the field.
Beyond tractors and harvesters, recent editions have leaned heavily into precision and digital agriculture - crop protection, seeding tech, and AI-driven farm management now sit alongside the traditional heavy machinery halls.
