AWS Summit New York 2026 took place on 17 June at the Javits Center, with agentic AI as the dominant theme. Amazon Bedrock AgentCore reached general availability as a managed "agent harness," adding a managed Knowledge Base and a Web Search capability so agents can ground responses in current, cited information. AWS also expanded its Kiro spec-driven IDE with Kiro Pro Max and a mobile/iOS preview, previewed the AI-native security service AWS Continuum, and unveiled the AWS DevOps Agent plus S3 object annotations for attaching AI context. Southwest Airlines announced a partnership to move more than 2,700 developers to an AI-enabled cloud architecture by 2028. AWS did not publish attendance figures.
